The Hornets were 23-11 and the Lakers 22-11 entering the game, both among the hottest squads these days. But this game appeared to be a heck of a domination by the visiting team who were on the 2nd night of back-to-back road games! After beating the Grizzlies 117-101, Los Angeles keep winning with Kobe - "one of the best scorers in the universe" haha! (NBA highlights) - leading the way with 19 pts 7 reb 7 ast 3 stl and 1 to with a big help from 6 other Lakers who scored 9 pts or more. Great ball movement (25 ast to only 8 to) and floor spacing which result in a very respectable 55% shooting!

One of the most exciting sequence was when Bynum swatted a lay up attempt by Chris Paul for his 3rd blk! Part of an excellent team D displayed by Los Angeles that held the home team to a poor 39 FG% including 1-of-11 from behind the arc. Hahaha! What happened to Stojakovic? Oh yeah, Ariza is now in a purple and gold uniform.

Maybe it doesn't mean much but the LA Lakers after this game have the 4th best record in the West behind Phoenix, San Antonio and Dallas. A number that makes them a legitimate contender according to ESPN. It's safe to say they have a chance to climb up a little bit more in the standings (and maybe get 1st place in the Pacific division) since their next 3 games will be vs Bucks, vs Grizzlies and at Sonics. Knowing that the Suns are only 1.5 game ahead and will be missing Grant Hill for 2-3 weeks.

Last night's win showed how far this young team has come and I'm somewhat happy at the idea of how strong they will become in April... GO LAKERS!!!
