TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN (天元突破グレンラガン) It's the most complete series I've watched all my otaku life. Whether you like romance, mecha, adventure, action, ecchi, comedy or sci-fi stuff you'll love Gurren Lagann. Animation-wise it resembles a lot like FLCL and Gunbuster 2 (Director Imaishi Hiroyuki worked on both shows and... Samurai Champloo's storyboard!) The battles will just blow you away! The story goes at a quick pace. There's a lot of different characters but they're all very well developed. You can see their growth throughout the episodes, how their personality changes as well as their relationship. Love, brotherhood, friendship, betrayal, politics, humanity, death, war, despair, faith, will... That's what Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is about. |
