Byousoku 5 Centimeter - Chapter 1 (Movie)

Byousoku 5 Centimeter is the story of Takaki and his childhood friend Akari. The two have been separated but keep writing letters to each others (why letters anyway??? Wakarimasen...) A few years later, they decide to meet again.

SO HEART BREAKING!!!! (T_T) She's been waiting for like 4 hours in the cold station before Takaki's train finally arrived and yet, they could only be together for the night! PAINFUL!!!! (T_T) He was hoping to give her in person a particular letter, but he lost it during the snow storm. SO SAD!!! Later on I find out that Akari too had a letter with Takaki's name on the envelope she didn't give him...

Emotions aside, Byousoku 5 Centimeter is probably the most beautiful show of 2007, there are just so many details. Enlarge the pictures below and take a look at the ground, the sky, the train... I think they did a spectacular job with the lights and shadows.
